The connectors are housed in advanced MIL-DTL-38999 Series III style metal shells with triple-start threads and a ratchet coupling ring that resists high vibration while maintaining a waterproof seal.

Military USB Plug • (TX06U)
Description
The Milnec TX06U USB plug will ruggedize any standard USB Type-A plug cord set (user supplied) to mate with TX00U and TX07U receptacles. It features a ratchet coupling ring with self-locking teeth that prevent disconnection in high-vibration environments. An O-ring seal and compression grommet provide environmental protection to the plug and cord. A protective cover is recommended to protect the connector when it is not mated. No tooling is required for assembly.
