Fiber Optic Connectors for Shipboard Applications
The NF Series of connectors is based on the modern MIL-DTL-28876 standard for fiber optic connectors. M28876 connectors were designed for use in fiber optic shipboard applications by the U.S. Navy. Milnec meets that requirement for performance and durability with the NF Series. Connectors are available in four shell sizes with five contact arrangements. Contacts feature low insertion loss (-0.35dB typ MM, -0.35dB typ SM) and are compatible with single or multimode termini. Available backshells offer environmental protection and are field serviceable in accordance with MIL-STD-2042.
